Company Director Nigel Smith once again held the very popular annual Sports Dinner which has become a fixture in many people’s calendars

Each year a different charity is chosen to support alongside local grassroots football which Nigel has been involved with for over 15 years.

This year the chosen charity was East Anglian Children’s Hospice which is an unbelievable charity for which Nigel has seen a friend’s child be cared for and the work they undertake for the families is truly wonderful.

The speakers for the event this year was former England captain Terry Butcher and formal Wales Captain and TV pundit John Hartson.

They both entertained the audience with the changing room stories as well as past manager and player experiences.  John also showed a serious side when he went through his experience with Cancer and how he overcame the operations and work now with his foundation that has been set up to support this going forward.

Once again a fantastic 3 course meal was followed with a charity auction and draw and the total proceeds for the evening reached over £10,000 which is a fantastic achievement for all involved.

Nigel said, “Once again I am so pleased that everyone had a wonderful evening and with the important factor of a hugely significant amount of money made to help support both local grassroots football and the wonderful work for those at EACH”.
