To celebrate 40 years in business A E Thomson Ltd held at Golf Day in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity at Ely City Golf Club. The day was superbly attended with around 70 golfers taking advantage of the great course and weather in what was a thoroughly enjoyable day played in the right spirit. There was various competitions on the course including nearest the pin which for some went well and others it was nearest ,or in, the water!
After the Golf, players and staff enjoyed a meal within the clubhouse which included the presentation as well as a charity raffle and auction as well as many talking through their own round and experiences with lots of fun and laughter.
It was with great pleasure that we were able to provide the charity with a donation of £2500 towards all the great work they carry out.
The best feedback from the day was “when is next year’s event”. Therefore it appears this will now become an annual event so watch this space for details of the 2023 event. A huge thank you to all those that made this day happen but an extra special thank you must go to our Senior Administrator Margaret and her husband Paul who were instrumental in ensuring a well organised day.
